Peter's Camino prints were on exhibit at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery until December 31, 2018.
These photographs are from my 2004 journey along the ancient pilgrimage road to Santiago de Compostela, in northern Spain. They chronicle the ever-changing texture of the road, the rhythm of small footsteps through a vast terrain, and the rich outward and inward journey that is the Camino de Santiago.
One of my traveling companions was the late violinist Oliver Schroer, who composed and recorded hauntingly beautiful music along the way, later released on the acclaimed CD camino, (available here). These photographs were used in the CD artwork, and received an Independent Music Award in the U.S.A. for Best Album Photography in 2007.
A book of my Camino photographs and writings has just been published by Wintergreen Studios Press, and is available here. It includes a download of four previously unreleased Camino tracks by the late Oliver Schroer.
Selected prints from the Camino series are available through Studio 22 Open Gallery.
